Requirements:
The position entails working as an Automotive Electrician, involving product assembly, accessory installation, vehicle fit-out, and R&D projects, including electrical machine design and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities: The first three are core competencies.
Automotive Electrical Work
Fitting and wiring products such as LED strip lighting, flashing beacons, LED work and search lights, inverters, auxiliary batteries, tail lights, high stop lights, door open warning buzzers, alarms, reverse cameras, etc.
Designing and documenting standard operating procedures
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Finding daily improvements and contributing positively to our 2-second continuous improvement program.
Training other team members to wire up vehicles.
Designing and manufacturing wiring looms for vehicles.
Developing standard product options such as central locking, lighting looms, etc.
Setting up wiring stations as required, including the layout of tools, etc.
Working on R&D projects, such as central locking, proximity sensors, lighting systems, using motors and actuators to make it easier for people to perform tasks with their vehicle accessories.
Designing and implementing all kinds of electrical accessories and circuits or mechanisms for vehicles, especially so that dealers or even end-users can fit them.
Circuit design and simulation.
Learning how to maintain and modify our CNC machinery electrical circuits and interfaces.
Experimenting and designing automated circuits to automate some of our in-house processes.
